Quote #3!! :)

“To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything and your heart will be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact you must give it to no one, not even an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket, safe, dark, motionless, airless, it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable. To love is to be vulnerable.” --C.S. Lewis

Love is an immensely powerful emotion...Its all in or not at all...you simply cannot love half-heartedly! "And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love..."

But what really is love?

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."

Our ultimate example of love is at the Cross. A life, laid down for love. Jesus' life was characterized by servant-like actions driven by love. 'Love each other as I have loved you' Who do you love enough to, day by day, show a servant-like attitude? Or rather, who do you NOT love that we ought to extend love towards?

Love,
Beth :)
"Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins."
